Since 2008 when i became a board member of IABA until march of this year,as communications officer of the organisation
one of my main roles was to communicate with the media,state bodies and all interested bodies as to the wealth of crafts men
and women we currently have here in Ireland.My writing and articles on blacksmithing and IABA events have been published
in most of the national press.

In june of 2011,
I was the spokesman for the organisation on the Nationwide feature of the Monaghan forge in.I was also spokes person for
the six one news and RTE radio at the same event.

In December 2011
I was featured by TG4 giving a demonstration of forging a rose from a gun barrel as my initiative for the "Iron Rose for Norway Project".

In September 2011
I demonstrated and gave a lecture and took part in the Portumna Heritage Ironwork series of classes,these where organised by Galway Co Council,Katriona Byrne heritage officer and local blacksmith Stephen Quinn.

I participated in most of the recent forge ins up and down the country,Dublin,Cootehall,Ballydehob,Schull,Ballylanders,Rostrevor, Millstreet country park and Portumna show casing our craft and educating all as to the availability of blacksmiths nationwide.
In 2012 i wrote an article promoting IABA and it's members for Compass the publication of the GDLA.
Also in March 2012 i organised a local forge in where a beautiful heritage forge was reopened by myself and a number of my
blacksmith colleagues ,to coincide with the Murroe/Boher expo.
The forge had last seen a fire back in 1964.

My work and writing have been featured in international blacksmithing publications such as the" British Blacksmithing" magazine
artist blacksmith and Germanys Hephaistos publication.
